The Lynchburg Anti-Abortion Center — located about 190 miles southwest of DC — offers ultrasounds and pregnancy tests, but “never advises, provides, or refers to abortion,” according to his website.
Emergency pregnancy centers, which abortion advocates call “mock clinics,” may look like health centers but do not offer abortions or a full range of reproductive health care. Their agenda is “to scare you, shame you, or pressure you into not having an abortion,” according to Planned Parenthood.
Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) condemned the vandalism at the Lynchburg pregnancy center in a Tweeter Saturday night: “There is no place for that in Virginia, breaking the law is unacceptable. That’s not how you find common ground. Virginia State Police are ready to support local law enforcement as they investigate.
An investigation is ongoing, according to Lynchburg police.
Reverend Dean Nelson, vice president of government relations at Human Coalition, an anti-abortion organization, said in a Tweeter“This type of destruction in no way scares the #anti-abortion movement. It only strengthens our resolve to love and serve.
