US$1.8 South Carolina Pregnancy Center Begins Construction

Construction on 1.8 million dollars Carolina Pregnancy Center led the way in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The new building is expected to be completed and open by January 2023. The property leases its current location on Metro Drive. For more than a decade, the center has strived to one day have its own location rather than relying on rental. The new location was chosen in 2019. Over $1 million was raised for the project through fundraising initiatives. The new two-story, 10,000 square foot structure at 7425 Westlake Drive will better serve the neighborhood by allowing for additional activities and services.

Each year, the establishment takes care of approximately 2,000 families. It also has a store that sells children’s clothing. The current structure at 103 Metro Dr. in Spartanburg is approximately 6,200 square feet. Jeremy Bishop, chairman of the board of the Carolina Pregnancy Center, said various lands have been evaluated for the new structure. Before agreeing to buy a property, the center studied the modernization of the current installation. The first level of the new structure will be approximately 8,000 square feet, with approximately 2,000 square feet on the second floor.
