Triple P – Positive Parenting Program Will Offer Practical Strategies For Addressing Parenting Challenges | To free


The current pandemic has raised new parenting challenges for everyone. Children and adolescents have experienced disruption in their daily lives and increased concerns about their safety and that of their family and friends. Children and teens may react in unexpected ways because they may not be able to effectively express how they are feeling.

The simple and practical strategies of the Triple P – Positive Parenting program have been proven around the world, helping parents to raise happy and confident children; establish family routines and rules that anyone can follow; and balance work and family life with less stress.

Triple P seminars and focus groups are a great opportunity for parents / guardians to connect with others who are facing the same issues and issues. UW-Madison Division of Extension is pleased to offer the Triple P – Positive Parenting program, a free series of offers for families with children aged 0-12 and another series for families with children aged 12-16. .

Triple P is an internationally recognized program that provides parents with a toolbox of strategies to develop your child’s emotional coping skills, encourage behaviors you love, teach new skills and support learning, manage bad behaviors , manage disobedience, plan ahead to prevent problems, and raise confident and capable children.

Join us for the next virtual positive parenting program for parents / guardians of children 0-12 years old. Take part in one, two or all of these seminars and discussion groups from the comfort of your own home via Zoom.

This series will be offered in the morning as well as in the evening to accommodate all of the parents / guardians’ schedules.

Topics include: the power of positive parenting, dealing with bad behavior, raising confident and competent children, dealing with fighting and aggression, raising resilient children, developing a good bedtime routine

The 0-12 Positive Parenting Program series takes place virtually on Zoom. The next series begins on Tuesday January 4 and ends on February 8, with a morning or evening option. Additionally, Extension Washburn County is partnering with the Lakeland Family Resource Center to deliver an in-person Triple P Program series to parents of children ages 12-16. This series will be held Thursdays, Jan. 13 through Feb. 24, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Lakeland Family Resource Center, 819 Ash St., Spooner.

Each program is stand-alone, so you can register for some or all of the courses in the series. Registration is required the Wednesday before each class to ensure that the correct material is available. Register by following this link personTPTeen or by calling 715.635.4446.

Topics of the Teen Program include: Raising Responsible Teens, Raising Competent Teens, Connecting Teens, Getting Teens Cooperative, Managing Adolescent Emotions, Developing Adolescent Survival Skills, and Reducing Family Conflict.
