The pregnancy center will hold a ‘walk for life’ on Saturday


The Life Pregnancy Center invites the community to “walk for life” this Saturday, May 21.

It is a two-mile walk that begins and ends at the Life Pregnancy Center, located at 238 South Fayette St. in Washington Court House.

The walk is “non-sporty and suitable for families, wheelchairs and pushchairs”. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the walk starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 10 a.m.

The Life Pregnancy Center is a local resource that provides free, compassionate care, love, assistance and support to moms, dads, their babies and families in need.

The center offers several services to moms and dads, including one-on-one counselling, court-ordered parenting classes, educational classes, free clothing, hygiene products, special baby gift bags, new diaper bags filled with baby items, diapers and wipes. .

The center is denominational, but welcomes anyone of any religion who needs its services. Any income level is also welcome as some moms and dads just need a listening ear. The center is governed by a board of directors.

According to the Life Pregnancy website, “Pregnancy Center offers women facing the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy (obtaining) accurate information on abortion, parenting and adoption. Free and confidential care is extensive, including pregnancy testing and ultrasound exams. Pregnancy Center can help you during the decision-making phase of pregnancy. Know your options!
