The âCracked Potsâ Women’s Bible Study Class at Creekside Church in Midlothian has come together to celebrate their first event without social distancing in the past year and a half due to the pandemic.
To celebrate, the women’s group hosted a baby shower for the FirstLook Sexual Health and Pregnancy Center in Ellis County. A crowd of happy women were delighted to enjoy the freedom of an interesting group activity.
FirstLook’s new and expanded facility, located at 213 YMCA Drive in Waxahachie, will officially open in the coming weeks. The “shower” was held in Maypearl at Sherry Martin’s home on Tuesday June 8th from 10am to noon.
The ladies enjoyed a brunch breakfast followed by a baby shower cake. Two FirstLook staff members were on hand to receive and open baby gifts that will be found in their baby boutique, a store for pregnant women. By taking classes, FirstLook customers can earn points for choosing baby items in the store such as diapers, overalls, baby outfits, hats, caps, blankets, bibs, toys, and more.
Elaine Culp, a staff spiritual mentor, opened the giveaways on behalf of FirstLook. A new partner, Christina Sanchez, was also present in the shower. The association celebrated its 25th anniversary last year.
