FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) – Life Network, a local nonprofit serving local families since 1983, announced it will open the newest Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center location in Fountain Valley on Wednesday. This center will provide free pregnancy services such as pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD tests and parenting education to empower parents and families in our community.

Located at 97 Widefield Blvd (just off Hwy 85/87), this center will advance Life Network’s mission of serving moms, dads and families in Colorado Springs, empowering them to make healthy choices for pregnancy through free services and support. From free initial medical services to parenting education and long-term mentoring, the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center will support moms and dads from the time their pregnancy test is positive until their child is two years old.

“We are excited to expand our impact on families in the Colorado Springs area by opening this third major site in Fountain Valley,” said Rich Bennett, president of Life Network. “We know that some of our customers currently drive from the Fountain area to our two existing centers. We look forward to serving these parents and families better – and serving even more women and men – in the future. ”

With the opening of this new center, Life Network now operates three local pregnancy resource centers to empower women through education, pregnancy care and free medical services. Through its parenting education programs, clients regularly meet with a parenting coach and earn “babies”. These credits are then redeemed for new items such as a crib, car seat, stroller and diapers, made possible by local donors.

Life Network also operates the Life Network Family Thrift Store at 5406 N Academy Blvd, offering quality affordable products. Proceeds from this thrift store, opened in October 2019, benefit Life Network’s family-oriented mission.

This center will open for appointments from Tuesday June 22. Hours of operation will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday; and from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
