Glenbard parenting program in Spanish focused on family involvement and student success

B-PAC: Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee and GPS: The Glenbard Parent series in Spanish will feature psychologist Dr. Ferney Ramirez in a webinar titled “Motivate and Achieve: Strategies That Work” at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 12th. Use this link to log in:

Family engagement is essential to student success. Developing a relationship with children’s teachers and staying in touch with them is important, but the most important type of involvement is what parents and guardians do at home.

Students with involved parents / guardians achieve higher grades and test scores, have better social skills, and show improved behavior and reduced absenteeism.

Ramirez will describe ways to encourage student efforts to increase motivation, set goals for academic success, and achieve those goals. In this presentation, participants will learn how to support family engagement so as to ensure that their children have every chance to succeed.

This program will be presented in Spanish only. Students and their parents / guardians are encouraged to attend.
